Noochie is the newest artist to come out of the DMV area, and he’s here to bless the music industry with his undeniable talents. Born Antwon Vincent, the rising star made a name for himself after an iconic performance on his front porch with the gogo band The Backyard Band.
Most recently, Noochie unveiled his newest single titled “Too Grown” tapping fellow DMV native Alex Vaughn. The song serves as the perfect anthem to end the summer, catered to all the grown folks who need something to vibe to.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, Noochie states, “As a kid, I was always quiet. My personality is what you see is what you get: very low-key and mellow. However, ‘Too Grown’ allows me to deliver insight into me now as a grown up: how I approach my goals, how I approach business, how I approach relationships and love. It’s me becoming more open in knowing who and what works for me!”
With Alex Vaughn blessing the hook with her captivating vocals, it was only right the two linked up. Noochie explains, “We come from the same area and have some of the same lived experiences. It’s that connection that gives us another level of understanding each other musically. I respect her sound and once you hear voice on this song, you’ll definitely see why and become a fan as well. She has a raw talent that compliments my mission of storytelling through my music and it works well on this track.”
Beyond the music, Noochie recently celebrated a standout cosign from the legendary Snoop Dogg.
